Tall Tined Long Island Eight Pointer

One of the NYB Forum member just posted this awesome Long Island eight pointer that was taken on November 5th. This is an incredible buck with really good tine length. It looks like both the G2s and G3s on this buck are over twelve inches in length. What do you think this buck scores? Let us know in the comments below.

  1. Hey Marc,
Got this deer november 5th at 7:00 am. I saw this buck the day before but didnt have a shot on him. After I got out of my tree I clearned the lane that I would end up using to kill this buck the next day. The deer went 60 yards and piled up in a clearing. I'm not sure how to score but am going to have it looked at when I get the mount back in February.

  2. at least 150 points. Great buck. Interesting shot on him in the rear and he only ran 60 yds.

I have experienced similar results with a rear shot that is just bellow the spine. The animal hemorages fast because one of the main arteries supplying blood to the legs are cut and it collapses within a short distance.
