Final Weeks of Summer Scouting and Velvet Bucks

Bill recently sent in some great trail pics of some velvet whitetails he has roaming around his hunting property. This young eight pointer has great tine length and looks like he'll be a slammer next season.

These two bucks look like they're a bit older. Notice the straight belly and back on the buck in the front.  As deer get older they fill out more and their belly begins to sag and their legs looks too short for their body.

This is a really cool picture of one of the eight pointers at daybreak. He's about the only thing in color with the dark background behind so he really pops in this picture.

Thanks to Bill for sending these in and sharing. These really get the blood pumping for deer season, it's getting closer by the day.
