Velvet Buck Sightings on the Rise
I've been getting a lot of reports from local hunters spotting big velvet racks on their summer scouting trips and their daily drive to and from work.
Paul snapped a cell phone pick of this buck on his way to work this morning and it's a very nice looking buck for the middle of July. At this point the bucks are entering the last phase of their antler growing season so what you see now is a good indication of what you'll see this fall.
With archery season opening on October 1st in Westchester County, I think we will be seeing a few of these bucks still hanging close to their summer routines and that's a good thing for hunters!
What have you been seeing on your summer scouting trips? Share you stories and photos with us at info@nybowhunter.com.
