It's coming down to those last final days of summer for the whitetail. The velvet is shedding and the hard horned bucks are polishing up their headgear.
Last season seems like it was so long ago, but seeing pictures like these gets my heart racing. I purchased my New York hunting license tonight - 1 Buck tag, 1 Either sex tag, 1 antlerless and 2 DMPs!
The first thing I did after buying my New York license was go down in the basement and put about 30 arrows through the 3D deer target - all in the lower 1/3 of the deer, right where I want it. There's not much more time left to practice it's almost opening day!
